My name is Sandra Winn and I have always been interested in finding adventures that will test my endurance, will power, and most importantly self-reliance. Always wanting to try new things and test myself, I up and joined the US Army one day and had a adventurous 9 ½ years serving as a Combat Medic, Liaison, and later a Helicopter Pilot.
With that said, I am not a gun happy gung-ho person. For me, an M16 has better use as an IV stand than a weapon.

What this Blog is Not
Although this site is a journey of gaining survival skills and personal empowerment; I am not going to focus on the “End of the World” type tips. No tips here on hoarding supplies, building nuclear fall-out shelters, or gathering an armory of weaponry to fight off zombies and mobs in the end. This site is not used to produce scaremongers.
